Bullhead in Season?

I'm a little undereducated on my bullhead just because sushi really doesn't require too much maintenance :) I'm guess they have a normal breeding season as with north american native speacies. This is my first spring with Sushi - she's HUNGRY ALL THE TIME!! How much can expect her to put on? She ate ...

That's fine in fact I think that's the reason he was originally caught but the fisherman just thought he was too cute! :) I wouldn't eat sushi just because he's been living in a fish tank but other then that yes I've heard they are quite tasty personally I don't like freshwater fish that much though ...

Black vs. Brown Bullheads

What's the difference besides being a little shorter? My boy was orignally I.D.ed as a black but I'm wondering if he might actually be a brown? http://nesbettas.com/Sushi.JPG Just because of his size and shape :) He's about 12"SL right now, eats everything. If it's not just a discepancy in the text ...

I seem to be having a small problem with my plecos - they are multiplying... and I don't mean I've gotten really lucky and had my commons breed :x I originally had 1 male baby pleco named charlie now, in the last 2 months I have aquired: 1 14" female sailfin Dolly - desperate owner because dolly was ...

Ah, see I had thought they just got more omnivorous as they aged (mine is about 6 months & I'm unsure of his buddies age) and that maybe in 2 years they'd be more interested in bloodworms & such :) Well then - looks like I'm going to be buying a whole lot more Cod :D (Which is a great white-meat for ...

Unusual Dinning Expeirence

I was under the impression that common plecos were almost completely vegetarian (and perhaps that is wrong) but recently a my little herbivores have been snacking on cod-fish meat being fed to their carnivorus catfish tank-mate. Are they missing something in their diet? Or is this recorded natural ...

How large a tank do walking catfish require? (I guessed a shallow 100?) How about a pair? I know someone who recently had theirs breed, and they became very aggressive in guarding the eggs (probably why I'd only get 1 for now) so much so he had to removed 2 arrowanas from the tank because the cats ...

Uh oh :) 2 of them are adults so I wouldn't worry about them, but I'll definetly keep an eye on the aggression. 3 months is a good age if your thinking about selling them to a petstore (though hanging on to them till they are a bit older will improve their survival rate - and you'll get more money for them :)). Apparently I have no skill whatso ever at sexing plecos, so I've now decided I probably have 2 pleco males (whereas I used to hope I had a pair :?)
