I am sorry Janne, I did not think about the repercution of my post. My post was not directed at you in anyway and I have a deep respect for you and what you are doing. I am just frustrated with the Brazilian government. Every move they make, it's to the detrimental effect of the Rio xingu and it's ...

I do see at least 1 female and 1 male. The others are kind of hard to tell so I won't even bother to give you a percentage. Also, the picture quality is poor making it harder to tell.

Re: L46 and L260 Strange Behavior

I don't understand. The first pic is a picture of the fry back in January 2006 at probably 7/8 days old. The second picture is of the same fry (no longer fry), now 2.5 years old taken September 29, 2009. Oh, I was just saying thanks for your update and clarification. Because if not for your latest ...

Re: L46 and L260 Strange Behavior

Hi, thanks for sharing the information. But I was kind of wondering as I read, because it's impossible to tell if a fry is a zebra or Queen when then are 7/8 days old. No distinct pattern will have developed yet (unless they are 2 or 3 weeks older than you though). Anyway, just a point from my own ...

Re: Blue Eye Panaque's .... whats going on?

I've promise my source to remain silent on this topic. But here is something I can say. You guys shouldn't make a big deal out of the fact that blue eye pleco exsist and are readily available. We don't know how many there are. But one fact I believe is true is that they are more common than you ...

Oliver rarely post the fish he has on the site. He mostly deal with email or direct contact and he does not have a problem providing pictures if you are serious about your inquiry.

Panaque suttonorum ID please!

Hello, Haven't post here for a long time, but one of my "kind-of" local shipping store have a couple of Panaque suttonorum for sale. They are said to be pickup from Colombia. But I don't think he bought it from the fish exporter as he's been know to make collection expedition to South America ...

You shouldn't keep them together. I find that the L134 are more agressive than than the L046. They will take up better caves and hiding spots and leave the L046 with the less attractable ones. And making the zebra feel safe is one of the keys to zebra pleco breeding.

Yes they do look brownish when stressed or beaten up.
The spots on the body should be really small micro dots.

They look very thin. You might need to feed them some crushed powder food. They are very fragile at this point. Until they are more than 1", it's a struggle and you can lose the whole batch. So you have to keep up the good work. Congrates and good luck.

Yup, but understand that eventually, your clown loach will out grow your tank and you'll need to get a bigger one. Don't expect your pleco to breed, as the eggs and wriggler will be eaten by the loaches.

Pleco Breeding question

Hi, I've been fairly successful in breeding plecos. I have this nagging question in my head, but have any one notice that it's alot easier to breed pleco in groups of 5 or 6 than it is to breed them as a pair? They don't even have to be of the same species. I am just wondering about this is true ...

Re: tetras and harlequin rasboras catfish community question

What would be a sutiable catfish to live in a group of neontetras and harlequin rasboras. What would be a good resistant catfish to live in this community? PLecos and corydoras don't interact with tetras. Infact they hardly even acknowledge each other's existence. So I don't see any problem with ...

L173 and L046 not the same.

Hi Can I ask why the L173 is cataloged in the same page as the L046? To me they are definately different in terms of body patterns and the tail patterns already set them appart.
Just curious ... or was the picture of the L173 inaccurate?
