L-66 King Tiger Success
In January I had problems with a King Tiger spawning. The fry refused to eat and started to die and all attempts to save them failed. But my second pair had spawned a few days later and were left in the cave until they started to hatch and were being swished out. I removed the fry and unhatched eggs and placed them in my usual floating bowl system. [A hangover from discus breeding days] They all hatched and a few did not make it but most did. When they were ready they got live newly hatched baby brine shrimp which unlike the first spawn they ate. The water was changed twice daily from the parents tank and a H2O new Life Spectrum Wafer was replaced daily. They are now about 6 weeks old and 1" long. The fry number an even 50 and have been moved to a tank with out any problems or deaths. I did nothing that I did not do before. Why the first spawn refused to eat and died is still a mystery. I do however believe that fry should double their size before they are able to take the change to a tank. On the other hand L-201 Inspectors are tough and can be moved as soon as they start to feed.
Good fish are spawned and raised in Burlington.

Hi, did you do the water changes with your first batch as well? I don't know why but even though my test kits says it's 0 ammonia, 0 nitrate and 0 nitrite but the fry still dies. But with frequent water changes, I only get 1 or 2 deaths.
Also, what kind of food do you feed your inspector? I have a spawn last year too, but all the fry died.
