Fair enough.
I remember as kids, catching them in the Rivers and Channels, with a piece of old meat as bait.
I was under the impression that they were like the proverbial 'Goat', and eat anything (tin cans etc).

I gather that in order to pull the Scuba-Man back up though the throat, that there is plenty of space there. ie, no little sphincters and such, like we have ?
Personally, I'd be more comfortable with enlarging the hole with a neat scalpel cut, and pulling the poor bloke out straight through the side.

I actually only read it cover to cover for the first time a couple years ago. I think, from my first attempt at 3 or 4 pages, to my finally getting cover to cover, was about 17 years! I vowed, the next time through, I'm using a whiteboard, with Link-Diagrams, to keep track of who's who. However, I ...

I'd take a punt at Star Trek. Captain Picard was always quoting some classic book or another. In fact Patrick Stewart played Captain Ahab in a Mini-Series. I remember when some of his crew ending up in the drink, and they were all screaming. My 4 year old daughter asked what they were afraid of. I ...

I had similar problems with C.aeneus fry, dying out at about the 10 day stage. I had 'slime' developing in my floating fry enclosures. I don't know that it was fibrous tho'. My solution was more 'mechanical' however. It seems to have solved the problem. I've actually been able to increase my feeding ...

Your budget may play a huge role in selecting your species. $100 would get you a nice collection of Bristlenose & Cory's. But your basic Plec's are going to begin at $30-40 a head, and really soar from there, depending on availability. I'm not sure if this is the same tank you mentioned in another ...

Your post title suggests C.aeneus. Mine come come out all all hours. Although I have noticed a cycle in behaviour. There will be times during the day when you won't see any of them (I've about 60). An hour later they're all out and at it, as if it's feeding time. But in regard to your light question ...

But is it going to stop you from buying that fish IF you know the label is wrong? Bare in mind that it would be those like ourselves who would even realise it's incorrect. And those like ourselves who would bother to sit around and discuss the phernomena. I'd imagine that these guys (LFS) do a fair ...

This tank is on Fermented Yeast CO2, at probably half the rate required for a tank this size (250 litre). CO2 is delivered via a Bubble Maze. I'll be going on to compressed CO2 when a spare couple of hundred dollars shows up. We have quite a low pH, and KH, in our tap water at the moment, so that's ...
