Hi Ben. Welcome to PC!

Are you're able to post a picture? It would ensure that you receive the right information about the Cory's you actually have.

I just imported a bunch of them. I've noticed that the dark contrast on their back is a good sign of health. They are easy to keep. They do well in my hard water. I run my tank at about 76F. Biggest I've seen is about 5-6cm the gold coloration stays with them their whole life.

Some notes just for cory's in general is if you add salt predilute it so it doesn't go to the bottom and brine. This seems to have some really adverse effects on cory's.

They look like gold laser corys to me and prefer cooler waters. I have 9 in a tank on there own and water at 24°c

Here are a couple more pics of the Orange Laser Corydoras in case you want them. These were taken about two months ago when I moved them from one tank to another, pictures were taken in a tiny container I use for photos. No flash, just using two different 150 watt halogen lights about five feet away on either side.

I want to clarify that I agree they should be in cooler water. They weren't planned but nevertheless are welcom.
