The new Pleco was purchased from a very trusted source..never had a issue.
That being said, I agree with you.. I am setting up a tank for quarantine and also a larger 40 gallon tank to house just my Plecos.. I've become quite fond of them :)
Hare are a few more shots~

Is this an L080 Peckoltia ?
I couldn't resist this little fellow today when I was at the LFS.. $5.00 dollar sale for small Plecos.. they had some bristlenoses and some commons, but just one of these. I was assured that he would only grow to 4" or so so I took him home. (Even if he gets bigger, I'll move things around so he has ...

My new 36G bowfront is cycled, stocked, and doing well~
I'm happy to report that the new 36 gallon tank is up and running great. It took about 4 weeks to cycle with 2 Plecos and 10 Harlequin Tetras living in it while it did that. I used some of the filter media from my old tank when I set up the new Fluval 304 and I think that helped to establish the ...

What about mine?
What about mine.. One board says it's a L333, one says it's a L066..
It is a little yellowish in color, which has lead some to suggest it leans more towards the L333.
What are the easily determined differences in the 2?
Can you tell for sure from this picture which it is? and what sex it is ...

My L333
I just picked up this guy..
![Image](http://img.ranchoweb.com/images/turbokev/day1b.jpg)
I'm no expert, but the general opinion is that the L066 has black eyes and the L333 has golden eyes (like mine)

I'm a new guy, just saying hi
Hi folks,
I'm Kevin.. a 39 year old guy with a strange attraction to Plecos :chuckle:
My wife got me a 10 gallon tank for Christmas in 2002 and this year we decided we were enjoying it so much that we would get a bigger setup. Our current tank has a 7 inch Common Pleco who is very active and fun ...
