Re: Bought as "zebra pl*co" but def. not L046

Quite often this is difficult even with big and clear photos, but with the current ones is nearly impossible - at least for me.
Please try to post better pictures, with the dorsal fin raised, and head or teeth details if possible.

I agree with Janne.
It does look identical to my L48, Scobinancistrus Pariolispos.

The fish made you sick?

You're making me sick. There are 12 fish left in the store and I have no way of getting my hands on them.

Congratulations! L128 may be harder to keep than L200, but in my opinion its beauty largely pays the extra effort. Top choice!

L134: is this spawning behaviour or my illusion?

Hi all,

I have 2x L134 about 10cm each for more than a year now. I can't really confirm their sexes (no clear odontodes in the back half of their body) although it does lool like one has a a wider girth. I never really worried much with it, because they are in my community tank (540L) with lots of ...

Allow me to pull up to this very interesting topic...

I, as many others, go often to Germany (the best shops in the EU, as far as I know) so I wonder lots of us must have thought about it.

Has anyone done it inside the EU? Carry in, or checked the question is - has someone done it?

Me too...

Well,

I use Win XP with IE (tipical office computer) and it started happening to me in the last week or so.
I still haven't find the time to post about it and besides I was not even sure if it would be my own problem, or a forum problem.

And yes, it happens in several posts, I would say randomly ...

I'm really someone who reads a lot on this forum, but rarely writes, since I have so much more to learn than to teach... and as so I really hate posting just to move back up , but I feel unless I do pull up my previous post, I will never get an answer.

Breeding Information - Maximum species size for 500L

Hi all,

I'm about to proceed with a long term breeding project in my 500l tank (150 x 60 x 60cm).
I have not yet concluded the precise species, but I have a short list of candidates to choose from.
One aspect that concerns me is, to what max size (SL) do you think a breeding project would be ...

Hi,

Not really Xingu sand, but the closest (geographically) I can think of is Rio Negro Sand from ADA.
You also have 3 other choices from them:

L15

Well, I had one L15 for almost a year in a community tank, and never even knew they would (even if rarely) eat plants.
I had him in a 500l heavily planted aquarium... and never noticed any harm to any plant, except for clumsiness... which all pl*cos more or less suffer from. :)

But then I guess ...

LDA vs L-Number

Oi Heriberto,
