If the eggs were rolling about in the tank then the male has kicked them out his cave. This generally means that the eggs were not fertile or that your water parameters were not too good. I'm not sure if you are able to tell which one though ...

When feeding my adult zerbas zucchini I have had similar problems with the fry. I have since taken zucchini of the menu and everything seems fine. It's a shame because the adults really love it.

I was thinking about changing one of my tanks over to a sand substrate. Does anyone have any advice on how best to clean the sand once itâ??s in the tank? I would think my normal gravel cleaner would just suck up all the sand.

I've had some recent success in breeding zebras. I just left the baby zebras with the adults, they all seem to look after the youngsters. You could try feeding frozen discus food as this contains beef heart, shrimp, and bloodworm. Make sure it?s eaten though as the beef heart can pollute your water quicker than other foods.

My zebras will eat almost anything but they won't touch cucumber, not sure why??? They do like courgette, the skin round the outside goes first.

Try using rocks, slate or ceramic pots to build your caves. My Zebras prefer this, they just ignore the driftwood.
