Hi Konig, Here is a couple of suggestions for you?. Could you find out what the Zebras previous owner was feeding them on? They may never have seen cucumber or Tetra TabiMin tabelets before and it may take them a while to be weaned on to these types of foods. It took mine a few months before they ...

Wow!......25 eggs that's a lot for a Zebra spawning. If the eggs were rolling about in the tank then the male has kicked them out his cave. This generally means that the eggs were not fertile or that your water parameters were not too good. I'm not sure if you are able to tell which one though. As ...

Cleaning a sandy tank?
Hi,
I was thinking about changing one of my tanks over to a sand substrate. Does anyone have any advice on how best to clean the sand once itâ??s in the tank? I would think my normal gravel cleaner would just suck up all the sand.
Cheers.

Great pictures Marc. Iâ??ve got a few questions for you. How do you remove the eggs from the male? Mine wonâ??t move from the cave once the eggs are laid, even if the cave is lifted out the water. How often are they laying eggs? Do you think removing the eggs from the male increase this frequency? I ...

I use some small terracotta pots, they are shaped like a vase and aout 3 inches long. I found them in a garden centre. The entrance is just big enough for the male to get it and it opens out a bit inside, just enough room for him to turn around in. I have also made a couple of cave with slate and ...

I've had some recent success in breeding zebras. I just left the baby zebras with the adults, they all seem to look after the youngsters. They spend most of the day in the males cave and venture out at night looking for food. I fed the babies the same as the adults, Frozen Blood worms, Brine Shrimp ...

Hi Great pictures, I'll need to get myself a digital camera to take pictures of my tanks. I to have had success breeding Zebras. I would be interested to hear a bit more about the set up. (Filtration, tank size, water chemistry, etc.....). I was thinking about upgrading my set up as I have a spare ...
