Re: Help my L168 not well
Cheers for that, i'm rather gutted as it's the most costly fish i've bought in years & I wasn't going to keep plec's any more after I lost my female BN due to old age & that the male had a real go at her so rehomed him. But i'll get another plec of some sort but 1 of the smaller type

Help my L168 not well
Hi Guy's, I noticed the other day that my Butterfly pleco L168 had sort of blood marks under the skin on his tail & 1 of his fins but today i've noticed that his scales seam a little raised but his eyes are bulging (popeye ?) I was wondering what the best cause of action to take to treat him will be ...

My Tanks
Sadly I had to down size my main tank due to health reasons but it has payed off & boosted my fish keeping interest again :d I wanted my main tank back in the living room so set about building a stand for it out of some scrap wood I had been given & during the build it came to me & could build a ...

Re: fluval FX5 technical question.
I'm sure most fluval filters are fine running at a max of 1/2 the output. You could always email Hagen/Fluval & ask them as they are very helpfull or have been when i've asked them queastions in the past but it can take about 2 days for them to get back to you but they do get back to you

How long can a bristlenose cat live for
I was just wondering how long a common bristlenose catfish can live for ? Last night I very sadly had to call it a day for my 10 year old BN cat as she had a very bad case of bloat that came on in 20hrs & looked as if she was going to burst. A few weeks ago the 2 year old male BN cat I had in the ...

If the eggs are bing place on a broad leaf just cut the leaf off & put it into you fry tank,I used to have to do this with a couple of pair of angle fish I had & used to weigh the leaf down with a little bit of slate. It saves you from having to handle the eggs but if I do have to remove them from ...

Thanks Mat the 15W one i'm using at the minute has a real yellow look to it & I don't like it as it even make the black gravel look slightly green :YMSICK: saying that it does make the plants look very green. Would sea coal be safe to use
I know this might be a very strange queation to ask but I was wondering if coal & more so sea coal. My tank is a SA set up & has black/gray gravel which I really like as it makes the fish & plants stand out but i'd like some black rocks/stones & wet coal is just the right colour. Now I can get quiet ...

First spawning in years
I used to breed bronze cory's a lot a few years ago as my female was very keen & couldn't keep her fins shut :)) I kept one of her daughters & she was like her mother but not constant & again I kept her daughter who sadly never bred but she also never gained the size of her mother & grandmother ...
