Someone sent me a few photos of the L82 they are selling. 1 of them look L82, the other I am not too sure because the body is a lot thicker (taller) than the other L82. Approx 5" guesstimate is 1M 1F

They have some tail rot and a bit skinny.

Got out of Quarantine at the store yesterday.

I went to check them out in person. They are approx 1" long (SL). they do have a small hint of orange on them. That is quite young. Is the information correct the L397 can spawn at a year old? They are relatively cheap for 397, I think. cad$ 40

They are a lot cheaper than L134 of slightly larger ...

A store has these in. They sent me a photo of the fish, but I cannot tell which Panaqolus sp.
The fish is supposedly 1.5 to 2". I am guessing this include the tail length. I haven't gone to the store to look at them in person.

Thanks. They were being sold together with either C. trillineatus or C. julii as the same fish. Long nose species don't come in often at any LFS in our city.

Lets try this one more time. They only have 7 left. This is the only one with the fin not as pointed as the others. Probably a male though.

They sold me this huge male thinking it was a female. I don't have any females and doesn't looks like the last 10 robinae at the LFS are female either.

I have my guess as to what sex this fish is, but I just want to confirm with others opinion.

I keep a pair in a 10 gallon soft slightly acidic water around 71f. They are very aggressive until they pair off.

They have spawned once. 3 fry out of the 30 eggs survived. I wasn't around to look after it. The fry require a lot more food than sterbai fry.

They are stuck on microworm. 3 times a day. I cant get them to take on tabimin, and I dont have another source of livefood for another week.

They were also grown in room temp of 70f. they are now in a 76f tank.

give or take 10-14 days for the 3 months mark for the first 2 fry. +7 days for the next batch of 4 and another +7 for the next batch of 2.

These are the first 3 spawning from a just mature female.

They are sterbai fry. Kind of small. the first batch is around 1/2-5/8"

The fry I have would not go near the dry fishfood. Do I have to starve them until they are willing to take the dry food?

It is the 3rd day after hatching; they do not look like they are eating. I am feeding microworm 4 times a day follow by a water change 1 hour after. The water is coming out of the breeding tank.
I added a clump of moss for coverage.

only 2 eggs hatched. The rest is infertile.
