Re: New babies

Well then guys it is just something my computer is rebelling at doing. Must be going through puberty. I think I rebelled at everything when I went through mine. I'll try again soon. But they are exactly at that stage where they look like little ity bitty neons! And boy are they hungry. Like ...

Could 11 fish but only 8 caves be the problem. I have been under the impression that with cats they are each supposed to have a hiding spot available to them. Yes? No?

New babies

Hey guys! Haven't been on in a while. Been looking for a job. Went out of town for about four days 3 weeks ago and came back to about 20 or so babies. Tanichthys albonubes or white cloud mountain minnows. They live in very cold water so I figured a fish bowl as a nursery would be good. Found a ...

Mine is a bit more social then others i've read about. But I think that is b/c he has several different hiding spots and feels comfortable enough to venture out during day hours. :)

Re: Mischiveous Platydoras Costatus

I've been checking on him/her at night, and it is venturing out to find food in the evenings. So I will just make sure the ornament is elevated off the gravel enough to allow him/her access in and out. It seems a bit happier so I won't mess w/ a good thing till I have to when I replace it w/ real ...

A water conditioner that helps replace slime coating would not be a bad idea either. But I have found Melafix and it's sister product, Pimafix to be very effective. I have even used it to treat fungus w/ no other meds just the Pimafix. Good luck. Let us know how it goes. :(

Re: Moving in a month. Whats the best way?

Okay. Everyone got moved well but I lost 2 of the danios in the 29 and my otto in the 2 gallon. I don't know what it was w/ the otto that made it go to the big bowl in the sky. Everything was "normal" as far as readings go. But who knows. One of the Danios lost his tail fins in the move so I'm sure ...

Re: albino cory deaths - Hemorhagic Septicemia?

In regards to the dropsy question I read this article the other day and found it to be interesting. http://www.fishchannel.com/fish-health/disease-prevention/dreaded-dropsy.aspx Also I have always found Pimafix to be effective w/ a host of problems and it can be used in concert w/ other meds. It ...
