Here is my opinion. With lots of driftwood, a nice sand substrate, and some kind of tall plant, like some Vals. It would be a nice tank to view. I would put like 8 of them that are 2.5 inches or smaller or around 6 adults. But make sure there is a lot of driftwood.

When i did breed BN i also seemed to have more spawns with multiple males in the tank. The only reason why i could think this is is because the dominant male had someone to fight over for his females. I bred 2m/3f in a 20g long.

I would try something like L114, L25, or L273. I do know that Joefish building ponds to house a couple of these species in the hopes to spawn them. I would aim for a large group of around 7-10 or so.

I keep 12 Syno. Petricola in my 75g mbuna tank which i have 3 species breeding regular and producing great fry counts. They are 1.5-2.5 inches, but are fairly active. Not as active as i thought they would be, but as they get bigger and get more used to the tank i am sure they will.

I would get at least 2 more multi's, as they are a schooling fish and enjoy groups. also, petricola don't get that big, only 4 inches. A nice group would look nice. I like groups of 6 or more.

I would also say hypancistrus. I have kept L134 before iwth both paterns or stripes or stripes and dots and these are nothing like it. I am with jools. I can't say which, but it is hypancistrus

Provide driftwood and rocks, and they should be fine. My L104 were always on the driftwood. In my 75g mbuna tank, my 3 bristlenose are always out. When i feed they come right and and eat the left overs.

Exactly Yann, cichlids are the same way, especially Cynotilapia Afra and Metriaclima Zebra. There are many that look the same, but not all. Alot of Hypancistrus look like L066, L333, L399, L400. But some are easily distiguishable, like L046, L028, L260 in most cases.
