More than likely C. trilineatus, But they did look a touch like C. copei which is not a common find. Let them colour up a bit more once they are well fed and settled and we will get a better idea.

In reply to your question, yes i have witnessed Corydoras burying eggs into sand when persued by a pact of persitent males. Of course the eggs didnt come to anything, but it was strange behaviour that i havent seen since.

Most definatlely Napoensis. Males have a stronger pattern to them also, as well as being slimmer.

Hi Andrew One possible reason for your Weitzmani to loss their colour could be substrate, if it's pale then this could be why. They do seem to develop a better colour over darker sand. Also add some leaf litter (oak or beech and catappa almond work well), this will help put them at ease and again ...

Hi Mike Male C. pygmaeus mature around that mark with them being fully grown at 25mm with females a little bit bigger and fully grown at 32mm, but i did have until recently a male at 27mm, he can be veiw on the catfish study group website in the photos for the 2005 open show third best in show ...

Try Ian fullers book Breeding corydoradinae catfish, it has a detailed account of spawning Brochis splendens with photos and line drawings of the fry.

C.03 for sure but yound still will develop the tall dorsal fin as they mature, but only in the males.

They are'nt that common, but you can pick them up from time to time. As for the price they were good value i think. And they are very "easy" to spawn.

Definately duplicareus danding is too broad to be adolphoi even allowing for some variability. Very good specimens anyway.

Corydoras zygatus. if you look at the dark band it has a slight break just below the dorsal fin, this can help id the two similar species.

the size comes from the fnas show guide for Sturisomaticthys leightoni and as Lg6 maybe a new Sturisomaticthys this is the as close as i can give you

lg6 are closley related to sturisomaticthys and get to about 115mm sl but try this if you can read german.
