Here is little more photos. They are not so high quality, but the color of fish is more natural. Here is one fry also.

Re: Monte dourado?
Thank You for Your opinion . I think also that it is L411 more likely than L260. Plecos are about 12 cm long. I think that they are little shorter than L66.

Re: Monte dourado?
Thanks Bas and Pez :). Bas, it would be truth. Hybrid have heterosis and they use it with domestic animal breeding. The animals (and plants) grow faster, because they have many genes heterozygote (not homotsygote). It is nice to hear that this plecos You have and in shop. It is big risk that they ...

Thank You Your point of view. I hope also that they are monte dourados, not hybrid. Sometimes hybrids are fertile, but often they are sterile or unhealthy. Babies grow very fast and are healthy.

Re: Hoplo catfish and wormer?
Flubendazole and praziquantel are very safe when used as directed. I have observed distressed respiration of fish exposed to an extreme overdose of flubendazole. In this instance they used about 25 times too much. Do You have used them to Hoplos catfish? It it here the main point. All other species ...

Thanks:). It is important that hoplo catfish do not get flubendazole. But I live in Finland and we can not use levimasole. What we can use if hoplos are in tank and there is worms? And do hoplos tolerate levimasole?

Out of curiosity, did you add the guppies before or after the S. lucipinnis started breeding? I put guppies before Synodontis lucipinnis started breeding. I see that my guppies smell spawning and they go around spawning place. My guppies are also very fat and healthy. http://aqua-web.fi/forum ...

I agree with Barbie that you have brought up an interesting topic. Besides all of the trouble already mentioned one must also remember the entire life cycle of worms and other parasites. There are several stages outside a host and can re-infect the fish later. It would seem that medicated food ...

Re: Flubendazole in food
Dosing in food has long been a source for discussion. Using gelling foods sound perfect, but the heat from activating the gelatin can destroy the meds. Soaking food in it will become losing concentration upon introduction to the water. The only truly "accurate" method is catching the fish, weighing ...

Hardness is GH not KH. Kh is puffer not hardness. But what is hardness, GH?Phyllonemus wrote:In the Lake is a pH of 8 to 9 and a hardness (KH)of 14 to 16 quit normal.
I've kept my two groups at ph=8.5 and KH=14 in good health.
General hardness I mean.
