and so what can i do to get more accurate readings?
i want to get my pH around 7.8-8.2
My tanks been up and running for 2 weeks.
i already added chemicals for the chlorine, ammonia, nitrate, and nitrites.
now i just wanna get the pH right.

ive been keeping fish for about 8 years or so, but ive never really considered checking pH till now that im resetting up my larger aquarium. So i bought the "API pH test kit" and it gave me a reading of 7.6 or greater, so i went back to the petstore and bought the "Seachem pH Alert" that goes from 5 ...

my bad ill try to delete it..

well then what kind of asian or south american cats could i keep with malawi cichlids??..................

im not gonna keep them in the 100gal permanently. i want to upgrage to maybe atleast a 200 in a year or 2.
sun cats are real slow growers i know that. only about an 1 1/2 - 2" a year. im just want to know if its fine to keep them together??

i dont got the oscar anymore or any of my other fish.
just a common pleco at the moment & my mud turtle

would it be fine to keep 2 sun cats in a 100gal with some medium sized African OB peacocks?? :icon-mrgreen:
ive kept a sun cat for about 2 1/2yr with an 12" oscar & 9" 4-line pim,
but im wondering if i two would do fine with medium sized(6" max) african cichlids???? :happy-partydance:

well its 60" long 20.5" high & 19" wide.
and well i wanted to add some Cichlids not too aggressive. :banana-angel:
and yea i know i use too have some south american bumble bee & rafael cats that i hardly ever saw except for when i would turn on the lights at time during the middle of the night ...

well thats why i want suggestions. i want different opinions. i dont mind much the activity i just want some or just one nice catfish(s) for my 100gal. ima be stuck with it for maybe another year or two, then ima try to get something bigger....

what is the largest sized cat i can add to my 100gallon fish tank??
i know i can add pictus, 4line pim, sun cats,syns, banjos,

i use to have a sun cat around 6" with a 9" four line pim, a silver dollar, & a 12" Oscar and the oscar only got along with the sun cat. they actually seemed to be good buddies.

i was thinking some lake Malawi cichlids,
like Pseudotropheus, Labeotropheus, & Metriaclima species.

Im setting up my 100 gal fish tank with some african cichlids,
but i cant have a fish tank without a CATFISH
i want some suggestions on what type of catfish i can have in a 100gal???
