Red tails
I was reading a sporting magazine about cat fishing ,they reported that a Red tailed cat about 50lbs was caught in a canal in SW Florida. Very interesting!

I had to remove all the plant life form my tank to stop the breeding all those guys do is breed I have three in an out side tank and nine indoors and would like to get rid of about six.

I have a real simple question,I just looked up banjo cat in the cat-elog there are a hole hand full of banjo all with different Latin names they all look alike and have the same right up .Who is Who?

I have had good success with Horsefaced loach and yoyo loachs on trumpet snails ,they don't mess with the other fish and are fun to watch.The horse face will disappear for days at a time when they bury them selves in the sand and they will try to fly so beware of that

Ok dave I get it ,What with every thing being bigger in Texas Ya'll regular ole snails are as big as the giants from Africa.And that opossum I saw down there in Wadsworth was a rat From the nuclear plant.

We are having an invasion of giant land snail in Florida and Texas.USA .The local folks in the know say they are poison .Who knows, I love escargot where is the garlic butter when you need it.

Hoplo going vegan?
To preface this comment I will explain that I have four bristle nose cat in the tank with three hoplo lits. the hoplos range from 5 inch to 7 inch long I hang a whole zucchini on a rod in the tank for the ancistrus as of late I have been seeing the hoplos eating the zucchini ,I mean gobbling it up ...

The spines don't even slow them down and it's the same with birds ,Tip them up and gulp down they go. A great Blue heron will swallow a one pound cat with no problem or a 8 inch blue gill .All in a days work.

Take a look at where the guy live ,South of the equator .I would think they see water temp. above 90f in the hot dry season.The corys I keep do well in warm temps here in Florida USA

Wow great way to fish .I have never tried ice fishing because of the cold but this looks doable .Around here we have willow mats along the edges of some of the islands .That just might work. It looks like it is cool there because the fisher men are wearing long sleeves Is that the dry season down ...

When I have a problem catching a sneeky one I do a water change .I drain the tank ,While it is at it's lowest level I just pick the little bugger up and move it

Thats a fine looking bullfrog and they are good eats. I have a little snake problem in my outside pound can you say cottenmouth.I can. had three come to visit sofar .

The nest was torn apart this morning ,Last nite I watched the female deposit eggs on the barbel of the male and he put them in the nest .This morn the nest is torn up .The male is starting to rebuild the nest already .I don't understand this behavior!
