Does Anyone Have/Had a Synodontis Angelicus?

Hi everyone, I am thinking of getting a Synodontis Angelicus and was wondering about their temperment. I get mixed signals about how peaceful they may or may not be. It would share a 180 gallon with severums, clown loaches, rosy tetras, and 6 fancy plecos. The tank is far from being over crowded. Any ...

I don't know if they have Rid-Ich in the UK, but if they do, I strongly recommend it. I've had to treat ich at least twice in the past year and not lost any pecos or scaleless fish. I personally used aquarium salt- but amid the debate about it I made that choice. My water parameters were not altered ...

Care Of LDA33 Same As Gold Nugget?

Hi all :) , just got me an LDA33 today and noticed that it has almost the same exact body features as my gold nugget-which I've had for 3 months. Went straight to the cat-elog and noticed that they have the same name BARYANCISTRUS attached to them. Would it be safe to assume that I could apply the ...

question about homemade caves

Hi folks :) within the next 4 weeks I'll be upgrading from a 60 gallon to a 180 gallon aquarium, and am planning on using pvc pipe for the pleco caves. Simple yes, but adequete. My question is; can/should I cap one end of the pipe? I.E. can the plecos turn around in the pipe? My thinking on the ...

The tank is currently stocked with 2 medium size angels, a mid-size severum which I do plan on trading in. I had put him in there a few months ago to treat fungus on his head, 2 corys, 4 blue rams, 4 apple snails-average 1 1/2", 2 tetras. It's a very peaceful tank, and the water perameters are good ...

Sailfin Plecco found dead undertank

My absolutely stunning 5" Gibby, which I've had since Nov., somehow got out of the 29 gal. tank sometime last night. Found it just a few minutes ago. The tank is well covered except around the power filter, Had done a water change and filled the tank 1/2" from the top. His behavior wasn't erratic ...

I'm new to the world of plecos, and purchased a 3" gibbiceps a few days ago. Now I've read that plecs poop alot, but poop that's 5-6'' long without a break in it!!!?? I know it might seem like a silly question, but is this common? :? -Chris

cory/pleco compatability with puffer

Hi everyone, I have the beginnings of a snail outbreak in my tank, which has 2 spotted cories, 1 juvenelle sailfin pleco, and 3 blackskirt tetras. I have read that the figure eight puffer can help clean up the snail population, but my understanding is that they can be aggressively nippy. Does this ...

marble sailfin pleco same as sailfin(gibbiceps) ?

Hello everyone, I'm new to the site and have never kept plecos. I've have a 60 gallon now going on 4 months and am ready for a pleco. My sister, who lives out of state turned me on to marble sailfin plecos because they don't get so large, and are good algae eaters. Well, after extensive net research ...
