question about homemade caves

Post by pherfect »

Hi folks :) within the next 4 weeks I'll be upgrading from a 60 gallon to a 180 gallon aquarium, and am planning on using pvc pipe for the pleco caves. Simple yes, but adequete. My question is; can/should I cap one end of the pipe? I.E. can the plecos turn around in the pipe? My thinking on the diameter of the pipe is 2" for lets say up to a 6" pleco. Your thoghts would be appreciated.

Hi!

Well if you are planning to breed them it is better to have one of the 2 entry close, blocked unless you will use these for breeding Rineloricaria and stuff...

The diameter seems to be ok for that size
Cheers
