i think that female is ok
they follow each other around the tank and the stay together all the time is a good sign?

hi i just bougt today one adult ancistrus sp.3 female for my old and lonely male :wink: ,but the female is bit different with the color( the male have more light spot but with the same shap)and i'm worry for the spawning,in this situation is possible the spawning?or the have to be exactly the same ...

the differente for the nose and body the come when the are adult...but i'm not sure 100% a witch age..maybe become now..aniway the male have longer head region and male have odontes on the posterior

the temperature can be more important for the snails,usualy the medium temperature for them is 18-26 for sub-tropical kind but for the most tipical snail that we can find(tropical)the temperature have to be around 24 grades because can change the life sistem(example.18-20 grades around 4 years if ...

Alright, I have a slime problem. Its not going away. I do water changes daily(15-50%, as needed). The slime is a redish rust color. It comes out of my filter in clumps. I've taken the fiter and media out, cleaned and boiled all parts. I took out the slimeist of my driftwood and boiled it and let it ...

i still think that is hibrid from a.sp.rio ucayali like said before or maybe is a variation of l392 or l122(grey variety)but the are not on cat-elog and i have see on my book for l-number,but i repeat maybe...
and if is it a chaetostoma sp.?the nose is very similar....

i had 2 and they have live for almost 1 year and one day they start to die in one week without sintom
maybe the are very sensible to one small incontrollable-variation of water...

hi!!! for spotted raphael what you mean? p.costatus or agamixis?because i had both( i still have the agamixis) and the p.costatus he has eaten one copples of pangio kulhii,with agamixis no problem at all.
