Hi, I call it a 'Rhino' cos it flipped a tankmate over the other evening. I've only got one cos I was not really into big corys. I was at Ben's when I took a peek at it and fell in love. It's been there for quite awhile, so I checked that it's been eating (Ben fed live bloodworms to it ...

Well, at least my Semiaquilus knows that those tablets are food.

Just moments after I posted this question, it blocked a tablet from its 6 tankmates and proceeded to 'sit' on it!

Do C. semiaquilus eat sinking tablets?

Hi, I just got my first 'big corydoras' this morning, a C. semiaquilus.

Will they normally accept sinking tablets, or only accept frozen or live food?

Thank you. :)

Hi Stuey, what's the water temperature in those tanks? I've been told by one of the aquatic plants suppliers, that Anubias sp. may not do well in temperature over 28deg celcius. I've had nice Anubias sp. before, when I'd only 1 light tube in an old tank. But ever since I started having dual tubes ...

Hi there, it's C. Barbatus, I believe? I've read recently that these corydoras need a tank that's at least 120cm x 50cm, cos they're big. They're a little territorial too, among themselves though... I've no personal experience with them, simply because I can't afford a tank just to keep them... I've ...

Ha, I've this rule for my plecs: I feed your in the morning, make sure I don't see any leftover that evening. I feed you at night, make sure you finish everything the next morning. Otherwise, I'll give you a tablet less, during the next feed. Yeah, I think it doesn't really work on 'finish in 5 ...

Hey, I've heard of that joke, all the way here in Singapore!

I love the L046 idea for the t-shirt. But there should be an outline of a pleco, otherwise people around may think that the t-shirt's from the zoo - of a four-legged zebra! :D

Hi Allen, that's about the same plecos as those I'd which sent my plants (amazon swords, water wisteria, etc) floating off!

I can only trust them with java ferns and anubias sp. now. :)

Thanks!

König Löwe, at least your Echinodorus bleheri was given the chance to grow again. When I once put this plant into my pleco tank, they chewed on the stems and sent the leaves floating! :( So I guess it's not really possible to have a tank full of plants and yet have a good variety of plecos in it. ...

My pleco tank's with 2mm gravel before I took them out cos I found difficulties in clearing the poop.

Now it's bare bottom, but I'm looking into the fesibility of having river sand.

Cheers!

I found my L262 on the floor one morning, recently. It's still breathing but its body was already quite stiff. I put it into the hospital tank but it died that evening. :(

It's been with me for a few months, so I figured that it probably jumped out while being chased by one of the other plecos...
