Ok everything is out of the tank except for the two convicts. Now could i put another convict or two in there or some other kind of smaller cichlid? Or maybe some kind of tough catfish like a stripe raphael?

Thanks for the info. The gravle in the tank is small,im guessing 2mm or less in diameter so they should be alright.

I just baught ten for my 55 gallon tank and i was wondering if they have any special needs? What types of food will they eat besides flakes? That sounds alright,as long as you keep ontop of the tank maintenance. I wouldnt add anythign else as thats already pretty densely populated.

I would say he could sruvive but wouldnt be too comfortable,my gibbi(although not 18 inches) is a fairly active fish and enjoys taking his little glides from one end of the tank to the other,i would say he needs a bigger tank,although he could live in there short term i guess...very short term.

Thanks kostas,i tried bloodworms last night thinking the same thing you said and a few landed right in front of one of the banjos and he sucked it in. The hoplos are pigs and im deffinately not worried about them getting there fair share as im sure they'll get it and half of the other fishes share.
