is my 10 gallon stunting growth?

I have two small plecos, about 2inches(5cm) i have had them for 6 months and they have not grown at all. There are also two emerald cories in the tank.the tank is 10 gallons. i was wondering if my small tank size was stunting the growth of the plecos?

Just a couple of questions that will help. What are you feeding them? How often are you feeding? What type of pl*cos? Some, like the clown pl*cos don't get very large and grow slowly. What is the temp? What ever details you can give always helps.

If you're doing a reasonable change of water (20% or so) every week, there shouldn't be a problem with the tank-size for 2" fish.

As Natefrog said, it depends on which kind of pleco it is. There are several hundred different varieties of Loricaridae (i.e. plecos), ranging in size from just over an inch to about three feet. Some grow very quickly, others slowly. They all have different food choices, some eat more meat, some just about anything and others are almost purely vegetarians.

If they are common plecostomus than they should be larger then that. You were already asked what you feed them but I would like to know how often you clean the tank and what the ammonia, nitrite and nitrate is at.

Do they look like this? If so they are clown plecostomus and don't get very large.
