No i didnt use any treatments in the tank at all. Could they just die?? Or another fish stress them out too much.?

i was at work all day. temp was around 24 when i left and come home. The tank is a few months old now and ive got a plec, clown plec 2 x upside down catfish, 2 humbug catfish and spotted catfish, panda and peperred cories. All the other fish seem fine. Any clues

why did it happen?

hey guys i know this is nothing to do with catfish but i had 6 clown loaches for a few weeks now and they all seemed to be fine untill i cam home today and all six were dead. water conditions ph 7, ammonia 0, nitrite 0 and nitrate around 20/30. does anybody know what could have caused this. many ...

Yes i know you have to cycle the tank. Im moving over a period of about 4/5 weeks so will have time to cycle the tank and move the fish over a few weeks and visit both houses to feed and look after both tanks while the old one is still in action. Many thanks

hi, i checked the levels again and they are as i first said. I checked another tank which is new and shows some ammonia and nitrite so the test kit is still working. I dont add any more co2 or anything like that. My plec seems to be fine and the cory is just lying in the corner darting now and again ...

thanx for your reply, the tank holds 155 litre's and i do about a 30% water change each week. There are other fish 2 peppered corys 2 striped raphael catfish 2 spotted " " 1 plec 1 clown plec 4 platys 8 neons the only thing that has changed is the fast that the platys have been breeding like crazy ...

Yeah sounds like a good choice. I've got one of these and i have found that he comes out quite alot and even has a go at the large plec at feeding time. Mine does create huge amounts of waste though. Good luck

hey, these eggs also look like so kind of snail eggs to me aswell. One i thing i would reccomend is to have a sand substrate or fine gravel for the cory's (they prefer this and it also lets the barbels grow nicely). cool, i was the same when it first happened to me. Ive got raphael catfish stiped and spotted. They just dont know when to stop eating. Oh well at least he enjoyed his tea. :)

hello mat, i did manage to change it. It was abit of a task but all went well and the water conditions are still stable which is Brill. Ok thank you for your help. I have now got rid of the sukcing loaches and got a few leopard cory's(lovely little things). Lets hope that the fish stop going awol.
