Do any of you have a good clear photo of a male L200 and female L200 to show the differences. Am I right in thinking the male will have more odontone growth on pech fins and thinker pec fins. I love this thread. lealea

I would say that you have at least three males and the thrid one is hard to tell as it is out of focus. The males are usually hairy and the females are smooth when well conditioned and ready to spawn. I have to breeding colonies whcih spawn every 31 days and usually I am getting double and triple ...

Wow this is the best news I have heard all year. I have a few questions. First how big was your female as usually this is the determining factor in maturity and spawning. Also do you have a pair or a colony and if a colony how many? Thanks for the info in advance. lealea

I am a large breeder of L134. And the only 100% way to tell if they are male or female is too see them when they are sexually mature. Currently I have a colony of Sterbai in with some pleco fry I am growing out. I have just noticed my sterbai have spawned. Will the plecos eat the eggs and should I touch them or just let them be raised natrally in the tank? leanne

Thanks matt that lead I have sent them to seperate messages so hope to heaqr from them and get confirmation that they have been breed in captivity and maybe even a further contact of the breeder so I can have a further chat. Fingers crossed.
