Do any of you have a good clear photo of a male L200 and female L200 to show the differences. Am I right in thinking the male will have more odontone growth on pech fins and thinker pec fins. I love this thread. lealea

I would say that you have at least three males and the thrid one is hard to tell as it is out of focus. The males are usually hairy and the females are smooth when well conditioned and ready to spawn. I have to breeding colonies whcih spawn every 31 days and usually I am getting double and triple ...

Wow this is the best news I have heard all year. I have a few questions. First how big was your female as usually this is the determining factor in maturity and spawning. Also do you have a pair or a colony and if a colony how many? Thanks for the info in advance. lealea

I am a large breeder of L134. And the only 100% way to tell if they are male or female is too see them when they are sexually mature. I buy all my colonies in numbers of 4-6 as to better my chances of getting both males and females. When they are mature they are very easy to identify the two sexes ...

C.sterbai and Plecos
Currently I have a colony of Sterbai in with some pleco fry I am growing out. I have just noticed my sterbai have spawned. Will the plecos eat the eggs and should I touch them or just let them be raised natrally in the tank? leanne

I have and am a regular on plecofanatics as It has a large Aussie following but no leads on L128 and L075 that is why I through it on here for a chance that someone ccould help me. Thanks matt that lead I have sent them to seperate messages so hope to heaqr from them and get confirmation that they have been breed in captivity and maybe even a further contact of the breeder so I can have a further chat. Fingers crossed.

Thanks Janne. I have had no response from anyone in Aus regarding either of these two plecos and limited on here so looks like I have my work cut out for me But I have breed most other things I get my hands on here in Aus ( the limited supply we have) So I will give it ago. Any ideas or tips always ...

Has anyone heard of or have breed L128 or L075 before?
