Help w/ Ancistrus ID
Male (I think) Bushynose Pl*co. No idea what species. Can anyone ID him? He's about 2.5", and I have had him for a month.

Catfish Identification
I took a trip to the National Aquarium in Baltimore on 12.30.05. Got many very nice photos of the aquariums common exhibits and the new Australia section with my new digital camera. I posted all the pics at FishGeeks, and have yet to get a proper ID on three catfish species. If anyone is willing to ...

Algae & Oto's
I have a ten gallon planted tank that I let go too long with too few water changes and a lack of algae eaters. It's planted with Java Fern and various types of Anubias. The Anubias are HUGE, and the tank is starting to look decent again now that I have taken a renewed interest in it. The only ...

Cats Native to Malawi
Hi all, I have a few African Cichlids that are indigenous to Lake Malawi in Africa. I'd like to eventually keep them with some catfish, but am unsure if any catfish are native to Malawi. I know that Synodontis multipuncatatus is often touted as a good fish to keep with Africans, but I'd like to keep ...

http://www.dinofish.com/ That website was given to me in a fish biology course and covers the Coelocanth which occurs in deeper water and was fascinating in its own right. I had a professor who was fascinated with deep sea fishes, but most of the info we covered on them was in fisheries textbooks ...

*laughs* The tank might manage it- not sure about my wallet though! *grins* I have yet to find Rams here in Baltimore- but I haven't been to the big Aquarium Center yet- only the smaller one. Guess a trip to the other side o' the Beltway is in order. I put the cats into their home today and they ...

Went to the fish store and came back with three nice looking C. trilineatus. Sold under the name "Julii Cory," of course, but they're Trilineatus- thought the spots aren't QUITE as merged as on many of the pics I looked at on this site. I'm going to start the tank with these three for about a week ...

New to the Forums
Hi everyone, I'm new to the forums here at PC, but have been reading the sites for years. I've been keeping fish for nearly 15 years now, though I took about a short break from serious fish keeping during college. I attended Virginia Tech as a fisheries science major, and am now teaching HS biology ...
