Thank you it does look similar. The spots on my syno aren't on the lateral line though. Still could be some sort of bacterial infection.
What do you recommend to treat it. I'm in Canada so some meds are not available here.

Now it seems the cat fish is active but has it's mouth open at all times. Is this normal? Still has cloudy eyes. Also the oscar has laid the eggs and one of the other oscar now has the egg shoot protruding. So can't do water change till the males do their jobs. Any help would be great. Thank you ...

unfortunately no. He doesn't have spots like that. Just really small spots that are not very visible.
