wow! thanks for that Caol_ila! I have got 2 juveniles now and im going to move the fish into a larger tank as they grow! better start saving if they get as big as yours :D !

when you say shovelnose do you mean a lima shovelnose (sourbim lima) or tiger shovelnose (Pseudoplatystoma fasciatum). the lima shovelnose would be fine but the tiger shovelnose would outgrow that tank. also if you want to get a lima shovelnose these do best in groups so i would recomend getting 2 ...

Yeah im aware of the requirements of these fish! dont worry they are both kept in separte tanks to meet there requirements. and the whiptail will soon be moved into its new 55gallon home once it has cycled :D !
