Good luck with your lot Barbie, this shouldn't be too much of a task for you. I think what I have is a female, shes FAT!!! I need to find her a bachelor.

Joe, I think we're still going to use ro water to stimulate them. The L114s are black water fish. Its favorable to keep them in softer and more ...

No typo here...My friend was busy with school and not home most of the time. His little brother only filled the tank with water when the water level is low and the minerals have been building up for a while. After the quarter was over, he started doing weekly water changes. That might of triggered ...

Just to let you guys know, my friends L114's finally spawned this afternoon. I saw them earlier and the clutch is HUGE!!! At least 50-70 eggs!! The eggs are dark yellow and are about the size of the H. Zebra's.

They spawned after he threw the caves in the tank about a month ago. I gave him my digi ...

Oh yea!!!!!!!!! They're fertilized alright. The ones I put in the net are hatching as I am typing this. What should I feed them once their yolk sacs are absorbed?

The pH is in the high 6 and I am not sure about the hardness. I dont have the kit to test the hardness. TDS is in the 300s.

The eggs are laid on the plants and clay pots and I leave them as it is. I only see 3 or 4 of them but I am pretty sure that there are more hidden in the plants. This is their third or fourth attempt and I HOPE I am seeing some progress. The eggs were laid on last sunday night and two of the visible ...

Infertile eggs

My group of 6 aldofoi spawn several times but the eggs were never fertilized. I am pretty sure there are males in the group but theyre not fertilizing the eggs properly. Can anyone who bred these give me some tips on spawning them please?

Bought as L102

This fish doesn't really look like the L102 from the Cat-eLog.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v351/dumaaa/IMG_0358.jpg
The Cat-eLog also says that the L102 will grow up to 6.4 inches but I have another male with full odontodal growth on its pectoral ray at 3 inches.

Let me know what you guys ...

I was loosing zebra fries in the fry trap. I have an airstone in the trap plus a small viaqua pump that supplies about 40 -50 gallons of fresh water from the main tank every hour. I also have a bushynose in the trap to clean up after the zebras.

Thankyou for the quick reply Kana3.

The problem occured while the bristle noses are in their yolk sac stage.

The L46 and L287 started after their yolk sacs are absorbed and their diet consist of mainly Hikari caniovre pellets.

No chemicals/medications were used prior to the problem.

bloated fries

I've always had bloat problems with my albino bristle nose fries in the early stages after hatching. I dont think it is genetic because I recently had spawns of other species of plecos and they are having the same problem. The temperatures are around 82-83 degrees fahrenheit, water quality is ideal ...
