It was beautifully written for sure. I got this from The New York Times' *What We're Reading* weekly post. Always interesting tidbits in TNYT when you have unlimited time to browse!

I mix the Repashy Morning Wood with just about everything. It does help with firming up the other Repashy foods.

That's probably the best thing to do. Maybe he's finally caught on and it'll be plain sailing from here on.

Re: This time ABNs definitely have spawned:)
I took some eggs that had been kicked out, put them in a net in front of a powerhead, and they all hatched. Not a huge batch of eggs, 20 or so, but . . . . In all fairness to dumb Josey, the prime offender in the kick eggs out, Jane Doe, is a huge moose and probably 3 times as big as Josey

Re: This time ABNs definitely have spawned:)
I was spoiled with my first male who did everything perfectly from the get-go. Josey is a dork though. He gets one more chance (with only one female in the tank with him). I've informed him if he messes up again he's going to the LFS

Re: This time ABNs definitely have spawned:)
I've seen something similar with a clueless / inexperienced male. Ended up with more than one female spawning and/or kicking eggs out. Ended up with more than one batch of eggs in the cave and eggs all over the tank.

Re: Ancistrus fry in community tank
My limited experience - BN fry with Madagascar and Dwarf Neon Rainbowfish - the Madagascars would eat babies if they saw them swimming but ignored them if they were on the glass, plants or substrate. I've since re-homed the Rainbowfish and now have enough baby BNs to populate the state

Being *low slung* is definitely an impediment in this case I once took a reproduction class (pre-vet, large animal, no humans ) in college.... Lots of *interesting* stories thereMol_PMB wrote:Haha! That's a wonderful mental image... ;)
