Re: Corydoras Paleatus and Sterbai
With both heated and unheated tanks they start warming back up immediately. With the unheated tanks, room temp slowly raises the temp back up. With the heated tanks, I leave the heater on when I do cool water changes.

There are gold spotted commons, but they're not a stripy fish AFAIK.

Re: Corydoras Paleatus and Sterbai
My corry tanks are mostly unheated. At 25.4 celsius you are running warmer then I keep mine, My tank tempature for C paleatus, were between 20 and 22 degrees celsius. The exception would be my Coridorus sterbai which I kept at 28 degrees. For the tanks at room temp I left the room temp warm them ...

Thanks for the comments. It's greatly appreciated and you have a very vast knowledge.
When you use cooler water during water change to you let it drop a certain amount of time or a set amount of degrees before you turn the heater back up ?

Quick update.

Wow really ? I didnt see any bristles would that simply be because of their age or because they are females ?Atmichaels wrote:Juvenile . The white edges fade with age.

Went to my LFS looking for clow pleco and they had these instead.
End of the fins seem to have white on them.
Thanks, in advance
They seemed very territorial against each other if that helps

That´s Panaqolus sp. aff. maccus. No L306 (and also no reason to suspect it to be a hybrid).
Cheers,

Re: LDA064 or L306
This could be sold as LDA068 , but you could also call it Panaqolus maccus . Either way it's a common fish and not LDA064 or L306. It will get less colourful with age.

Hi,
just on a side note:
I am really kind of confused by your question. Multiple people have both told you now that these fish are the same species (as is L169).
L169 and L306 are clearly (and easily) differentiated, at least as adult(ish) specimen.
If they are the same "species" or not I will ...

Could they be LDA068
at this point him 90% sure the picture I received are not of the L306 but I have a panaqolus maccus in my community tank and it looks a little different than the sellers.
