213 breeding
Is there anyone out there that knows if keeping more than one male L213 in a tank will inhibit spawning? I have a pair that has spawned in the past with 4 younger 213s in the tank as well, the 4 are 3 males 1 female.

Ancistrus Breeding, more than one male
So I am currently trying to breed L213, Rio Ukiyali, L183 and L144. I just had a spawn of calico bristlenose and they were in a tank with multiple males. My question is how much of a difference does it make if there are more than one male bristlenose in the tank? With my L213s I would like to keep ...

Any one have success with L-183s?
I'm setting up a tank to spawn a pair of L-183s. They have spawned together once before. Has anyone been real successful with them that has some tips as to what the tank should look like and what the waterparameters and filtration and foods. Any help is greatly appreciated thanks. (The tank is a 40 ...

These were listed as Claros, can anyone ID?
An aquabid seller gave me permission to show these photos around, I'm pretty curious as to what they are. I think claros would have a linear pattern on the head, and probably be lighter in color. What do the experts have to say? http://i1149.photobucket.com/albums/o598/coder14/LDA08010.jpg http ...

Re: Want to get into pleco breeding, have questions
Thanks Barbie, I might be interested if you have some L184s available. I actually was already looking for L183, I didn't know they were black water, that would be perfect. The H. contradens that were suggested also look like very cool fish. If anyone has any of the three contact me I might be ...

Re: Want to get into pleco breeding, have questions
Thanks I appreciate the info. What water hardness do good breeders generally keep? Basically I have some large tanks where I raise spawns from mouth brooding bettas. Depending on the species I keep my water around 6.0-6.4 ph and very soft. I was thinking some cool little plecos could help clean up ...

Want to get into pleco breeding, have questions
I currently breed some species of wild betta, and some invertebrates. I would like to try my hand at breeding plecos and would like to know what a easy to breed smaller species of pleco would be. Also do plecos need their own tank to breed?
