Got seconds spawn. And again, I dont noticed when and where that happens. They are very secretive spawners. I just discovered fry in yesterday evening.

zebra plecos a slow growing catfishes.
Main takes about 5 years to go mature sizes (6-7cm)

Yes, it finally hapens.
I got 2 of this fish from germany about 5-6 years ago but they happens to be both males... .
Then I went to Finland ( Helsingin Akvaariokeskus)about 3 years ago and they have lonely sub-adult female.
First time they spawned straithly about year later, but all spawn was eaten ...

I got today my exemplar of this amazing book!

I keep only these two species in same tank.

In my own breeding aquarium. These are breedings since february this year.

There about 30-35 zebras (biggest is about 3cm) and 40-50 L340

Hypancistrus inspector for me.

No 1: not sure- more like young male
No 2: possible female/75%
No 3: male

L114 youngsters for sale in Estonia.
Size 5-6cm, about 50pcs.

at what size did they breed, and can u post a pic of your breeding tank. I have 9 adults around 8-10 inches in a 220 gallon and have seen little activity other than eating and crappin. thanks

Breeding Size is for male about 25cm, for female about 20cm.
Breeding cave is in a left side of tank ...

There are about 100 younsters (Dont count it yet exactly). Fry surviving Rate about 95%.
So far seems to me all going well

Spawning occurred in community welse tank (L333-5;L411-3; L002-5)
Tank is about 250l, with heavy filtration and current with lot of caves diffrent sizes.
