How new is the new home - just checking this isn't a new tank? I meant in the sense new to them. The tank has been running for about 6 weeks fully set up. I could have put them into an old tank which is two years running, but it has gravel rather than sand, and I was told they like to bury. The ...

I have no lighting in the tank as I have a clear roof, so I have partly covered the tank with a towel. I have added some duck weed to half the tank, which if nothing else will help with the nitrate cycle.
