Re: L010a babies not feeding 3 days after hatch.
Great news, the babies started to eat. It required a bit of guidance and a nudge to the food. I stuck to feeding live brine shrimp that were kept in the fridge, then shining an led light over the top the frys would start to look for food.

L010a babies not feeding 3 days after hatch.
So I finally got my L010a pair to have a successful breed. Unfortunately the babies just wont eat the food i prepare. So far I've done newly hatched BBS live, frozen. Are there any recommendations to prepare food instantly for them to eat? Otherwise I think they'll starve to death today.

Re: Red lizard eggs
nice, I think I have dead wigglers. Basically I see a body outside of the egg but no movement.. I assume the egg then becomes a yolk sac.
Kinda like a sperm cell.. has a tail, head, and eyes.

Re: Red lizard eggs
I currently house about 50 shrimps. Typically their off springs get eaten by my tetras. This is the first time I bred them in the marina and they sure grow fast. Little guys molt after one day of birth.
I'll grow the shrimps and plecos together in the marina breeder box and see how that goes.

Re: Found thousands of eggs in my filter. What is it?
I have some cardinal tetras, RCS, otos, L010a. I recently bought a plant from a LFS and have found a snail in the tank. I am going to assume its snail eggs. Wouldnt it require a pretty large snail to produce this many eggs? The biggest snail i have found in my tank is about the 3mm

Found thousands of eggs in my filter. What is it?
Im not sure where to post this and I tried doing a google search for Eggs in filtration. Came up with nothing. Here are some pictures of what seems to be a infestation of eggs growing in my canister filter. They where found in a bag of carbon.

Re: Red lizard eggs
sorry for the loss. good news to hear they bred again. Does anyone have information about breeding plecos with baby RCS? I currently just had two females spawn about 30 shrimps and was wondering if it would be a good idea to grow them up together. Since the RCS can clean off any excess food.

Re: Red lizard eggs
I am in a huge debate as whether to leave the eggs in the tube in the main tank or to artificially hatch them. Everything seems good so far so im leaning towards leaving it as it and removing the tube to a hatcher at day 5. There were a few eggs thrown out of the tube that were completely clear. Are ...

Just put the caves in, they are definitely too big. Not bad worth of 10 dollars of investments. I really want to get some of these in this Youtube video.
Anyone have any ideas where I could pick some up?

My Newly created pleco caves.
Its coming spring time again and I am finally interested in breeding my L010a Red lizard catfishes again. Here is a pic of the first design.
My tank currently has no caves for breeding, hopefully this will induce some romance.

Red Lizard Pleco Gravid.
I have a dilemma. My Red Lizard pleco is currently housed with 2 males and 3 clown loaches. So I know for a fact that these loaches will scour the eggs. How should I go about breeding if it does occur?

I currently have a 20gallon, hopefully expanding to a 40 by this Christmas. In the tank there are Three Red Lizard Catfish that are probably the most active plecos I have ever owned or seen. During the day they can lounge around the leaves in open daylight or just hang and move around under a log ...

I recently found some almost microscopic sized bugs in my fish tank. I can't take a picture because they are that small. Anyways I think having floating plants allowed them to congregate in my tank. I would like to know if anyone has any ideas what they can be. They have a very small head and a ...
