Re: Help on sexing L46

They are not the easiest Hypans to sex but they do look more like females to me, maybe because they are not mature enough yet, do they all tend to hide in caves or under objects as the females tend not to cave, but this is not allways the case. There are no mature males in there i would say.Thats ...

Re: dead L134 cut open.

Hi Wayne
I lost some l134 through rather boistraus breeding behavior, they can get rather vicious at times just watch if you lose more fish you may need to thin them out a little, or it could have just been a one off

Re: breeding l-066

I used to give mine prawns to feed them up and hikari carnivore tablets, once they are fattened up and gravid give them a nice cold water change and let them do the buisness, patience is needed but once they have spawned they should do so on a regular basis. O yes make sure you have a good water ...

Re: Breeding plecos successfully in a 5ft x3ft x2ft

Given a well set out tank, it is possible to breed more than one plec in a tank, i have bred L066, L046 and L134 all in the same tank together, the tank was 400ltr, five foot tank with enough hiding places for every fish. once they sought out their own territory's they will settle down and breed as ...

Re: Sex L262 Hypancistrus

L262 have a lot more spots and only grow to around 3.5 inch similar to queen arabesque, your fish has fewer spots and looks a larger fish.
I would agree that it is L136 complex or possilbe L028
