Re: Chaca chaca

They are very nice! Do you know how much is true about the story that they can lower the ph of a tank quickly? (supposed to be from some kind of stomach acids or something)

Re: Amsterdam Zoo Artis Aquaria

You didn't make pics of the tank with arowana's in there? I remember that one looking quite cramped (far right corner in one of the halls, the tank is one of those 100x100x100 or so tanks).

That panaque in the 3th last picture almost looks short body from that angle.

He probably added links because embedding is disabled.

Anyway, nice fish! The way of hiding and swimming is really unique. Do you have any problems with ph? I once heard that chaca's can drop the ph of your tank dramatically.

Re: World Cup 2010

Very different playing styles. I'm just praying for no controversy of any kind. Good luck with that. I'm expecting a robust game before the traditionally edgy semis. I'd put a cheeky 50p bet on it does not end with 22 players on the park. Actually, this and the Brazil Vs Netherlands game are very ...

Re: Synodontis decorus with stripes?

Thanks for the info Richard! I found these two by accident in a tank full of "normal brown" syno's. The owner of the lfs got them without specificly ordering them, so they where only two, but they were cheap hehe :D . My guess would be that there wild fish, also because of the size difference in the ...

Re: Feeding panaque

Panaque can pass their food as quickly as within 4 hours. They push food through extremely fast. Panaque are grazers and are adapted to eating constantly. Their food in the wild is generally so low quality that it would serve no point to hold a reserve. Aha, never knew that, thanks for the info ...

Synodontis decorus with stripes?

Hey all, recently bought 2 (they didn't have any more) synodontis in a lfs. After some searching the web I think they are s. decorus, I red some topics on hybrid syno's wich resemble decorus so I doubting if these are "the real deal". They do have 6 wires under the mouth, 4 of wich have small side ...

Feeding panaque

Hello all, I have a question about feeding panaque. I have had a panaque (38 cm) for atleast 3 years now and have never given him shrimp etc. I always rely on wood in the tank and alge pellets (hikari) for feeding. Occasionally (once every 1-2 weeks) I feed him courgette or cucumber, but sometimes ...
