I have a group of Micracanthicus vandragti (L280). Up to nine adult fish.
Have no idea on gender.

At first I put them all together in one tank and had some spawnings. Then I split them to two tans. Both groups spawn succesfully.

T: 28-30 C
TDS: 50-100
Tanks size: first 60X80X25h, second ...

I also heard about some groups owned by differant peaople in Germany, but unfortunatly no fry ...

I will se if i could get a short of one of them. You would easy mistake them for L201, but compared, side by side, there is a much more distinct differences. I will try to catch a L280 and a L201 and take a photo.

- males L340, L411, L287

Jools, you are right you were looking on the description of the genus and I was looking the description of the P.tirgis on the p.184. It has a mark "H" that means Herbivore.

In contrast to the website, Ingo's book actually says they are omnivorous.

Just to be sure, in the Ingo Siedel's book "back to nature" is written that they are herbivore, not omnivore.
But I agree that they shouldn't be fed only vegitables.
