My Micracanthicus vandragti (L280)
I have a group of Micracanthicus vandragti (L280). Up to nine adult fish. Have no idea on gender. At first I put them all together in one tank and had some spawnings. Then I split them to two tans. Both groups spawn succesfully. T: 28-30 C TDS: 50-100 Tanks size: first 60X80X25h, second 120X80X30h ...

Thanks.

Small Ancistrus species
I wonder is there any A.327, S.L344, A.L352, Ancistrus sp. "Portell" or Ancistrus sp. "SaoFlex" species in the hobby?
Is there any real keeper or breed of any of these specis?

Congratulations!!! I will se if i could get a short of one of them. You would easy mistake them for L201, but compared, side by side, there is a much more distinct differences. I will try to catch a L280 and a L201 and take a photo. It would be great:) I suppose they could me distinct by dentition ...

Heribertogj, thanks a lot for sharing! The photos are amazing! Hypancistrus zebra were collected in six different locations (near at Altamira, near at Belo Monte and the middle of this course, called "Volta Grande") Found in rock crevices in moderate flowing streams. I wonder is there anything ...

Thanks for the pictures, interesting stuff. Thanks! I'm glad you enjoy them. The hybrid now looks strangely similar to the Xingu type fish... Totally agree with you. If I didn't know that it is 100% hybrid I would say that it is something of the Lower Xingu type (I'm talking about the main fish of ...

Of-course not.Are you breeding hybrids deliberately???
As I wrote before many times it was not on purpose:) And I finally split all the species.
I currently have 11 hybrid fish. I just want to grow them up to take photos.

Re: Feeding L257 Pseudolithoxus Tigris
Jools, you are right you were looking on the description of the genus and I was looking the description of the P.tirgis on the p.184. It has a mark "H" that means Herbivore. I agreed with you before that this species not highly specialied herbivore:) As far I understand Ingo specified P.tigris the ...

Re: Feeding L257 Pseudolithoxus Tigris
Just to be sure, in the Ingo Siedel's book "back to nature" is written that they are herbivore, not omnivore. In contrast to the website, Ingo's book actually says they are omnivorous.
But I agree that they shouldn't be fed only vegitables.

Re: L70, Zombie pleco
Congratulations Jac! Well, that depends on your keeping. The colder the water for instance, the longer it takes for the eggs to mature for hatching. If your water would be around 28-29 degrees, that could mean that your incubation time is longer by one or 2 days. The temperature here is a constant ...

Strange, but according to Ingo Siedel http://www.backtonature.nu/pleco/fisk.php?NR=363
L257 is Herbivore.
L257 is Herbivore.
