How to minimize egg predation
How to minimize egg predation
I have 6 c. paleatus spawning with water changes, but one or more get to the eggs very quickly (within seconds if I don't get there first!) Are there any tricks to minimize this? I presue that keeping them well fed with live or frozen food is important! The only other obvious measure would be to see if one or more of the corys is the culprit and remove it (them)! Note, there are only the 6 corys in this tank. Thanks!

have u tried using spawning mops?? either floating or sunken??? or even javamoss may help too... just would hide the eggs a little from the adults and give u a little more time to collect the eggs.
other solution.. maybe separate a pair to another tank.. that would give u less mouths to eat the eggs..
