What do I put with my multipunctatus (cichlids)

Post by wayneminot »

I just bought 5 multipunctatus and I don't know much about africans. I went to the lfs today and looked at some. The ones I really like are the Psuedotropheus Demansoni but after reading further I'm afraid of two things. 1. they are too mean and will tear up my poor little cats. 2. They are too small and when the catfish eggs hatch in their mouth I won't be able to get the cats out of the cichlids mouth. Any suggestions? I'm putting them in a 55 gallon so I can't have any really big cichlids. Thanks ~wayne

Wayne,
If they are available in your area try labidochromis lemon.

Thanks for the suggestion corybreed. Thats what the lfs owner suggested. I really like those demansoni's though. I don't know my cuckoos are still small though so they will be by themselves for another month or two at least it gives me some time to decide they are only about 1.5inches so I don't want to put them with anything like cichlids yet.
