how do you feed plecs vegetables?

Post by patrickstockton »

i realize this sounds like (or is) a silly question but.... How does one successfully feed l#'s things like greens and potato. I tried some lettuce once but couldn't get it to stop floating to the surface. I am trying to find something that my L239 Blue Panaque will eat. I want to try potato and/or cucumber but not sure what the best way to attempt this is. Pellets and flake makes sense to me but vegetables are new to me! thanks in advance fo the help.

Hi!

potatoes sink...
I put a spoon into cucumber or zucchini or attach one of these metal bands to hold down plants or wrap a rubberband around and attach to a small flat stone. Smashed peas also sink...
cheers

Here are the results of a search of the site on past subjects about feeding vegetables. Hope that helps!

whats the best method for knowing how much to feed and when, concerning veggies.... everyday? until its gone? i had a slice of potato about 5cm in diameter and 1cm thick. it took them 3 days to eat it. by them i mean a small clown, my l239 and my 5" royal. they aslo had access to a littl spirulina wafer as well. can they overeat on veggies. seems a little different than throwing in 8-10 sinking discs and walking away.
