How peaceful is .....

Post by NEON98101 »

:?: How peaceful is this interesting known as " PSEUDOGASTROMYZON MYERSI, sucker-belly loach, chinese hillstream loach, Hong Kong Pleco, Butterfly Loach etc.""?
I saw at the store they are hanging on the side of the aquarium and thought what an interesting fish. I almost had urge to buy it right then but I decide I should know about the fish first. So I didn't. Since then I did little research. And all the web claim this fish as non- aggresive. and algae eating fish. But also people who keep them say that they eat blood worm and pellet food.

OK here is the question. :?:

Can I keep this fish with small fish like week old cory fry? As you may know, I have panda cory fry everywhere. I'm running out of the container and my living space. So if I decide to buy this fish, it most likely have to share the space with cory frys. I do try not to put in the same tank with small cory fry but...
So I'm looking for the answer from all of you. Hopefully somone in this forum has some experience with this funny looking fish.

They actually are neither catfish nor loaches, but rather balitorids. They should be fine with cory fry. They are a fastwater fish, and need good aeration, especially if kept at tropical temperatures.

Thanks, Chrysichthys
For the quick input.
I wasn't sure what kind of fish it is but I thought they are funny looking fish. So you are saying, they won't eat the cory fry if they can swim away.
Anyway, then I probably get them if the price is right. I wasn't sure how much they are charging, actually. You know, some fish store have no right price nor right fish in the tank they list the nemes of the fish.
