skinny pleco-ish fish

Post by kelpie »

I can't seen to get a picture of him

He's about 6 inches long, light brownish and looks almost like a twig, or an insect. He has a long thin nose that protrudes about a half inch past his face (flat). He has two dark stripes that start about halfway from the tip of his nose, go over each eye and stop at a point under his dorsel fin on each side. He has a mouth like a pleco, sucks onto the glass and other things. Head and eyes look like plecos. Long skiny tail with small caudel fin.

I probably should have figured out what he was before I brought him home... but he's kind of cool in a creepy sort of way. Anyone know what he is?

Thank you

is it this one?: http://www.planetcatfish.com/catelog/lo ... /777_f.php

If not i would start looking in the cat-elog under the name farlowella, because there are a few different species that match your description.
