Hi!
Well i tend to think that basically almost every Loricariidae species are opportunistic fish that will eat whatever they could find, still a very meaty diet for some species are not very required as they would come to eat these just once in a while!
But I am really getting off topic!
I'll open a new topic for this!
Cheers

I tend to agree with rusty on pseudacanthicus, although mine has an affinity for my sponge filters too.
I also agree with yan, plecos, and indeed many fish, eat what they can, some more readily than others...

Maybe it thought that it was called wood shrimp for a good reason!
But seriously, a couple of years ago when we first heard of people feeding dog food to their plecos, it seemed like a revelation! Nowadays we take it for granted that most Lori spp. enjoy occasional meaty treats and many are largely carnivorous. The state of our collective knowledge has advanced pretty quickly in a few years.
