What are these Corydoras?

Post by MChambers »

Found today at a LFS with some C. trilineatus. I’ve never seen this species before. Spotted pattern around the head, with a bluish-gray blotch neat the tail.

I wonder what fish they are similar to.

The stupid thing is, similis means something like similar, but they are one of the most unique Cory's one can find.

And as they are rather beautifull, the referred fish must be beautifull too

Hi,

there are several similar species like Corydoras caudimaculatus and Corydoras guapore, but in fact the describing author was refering to Corydoras ourastigma which is the long snoutet companion.

Cheers,
