Hello everyone, greetings from Spijkenisse (the Netherlands)

Post by Mariska »

Hello everyone,

After almost losing my account due to not having posted anything, I decided to introduce myself.

My name is Mariska, I am 29 years old and live in Spijkenisse (near Rotterdam), the Netherlands.

I bought my first aquarium 4 years ago. A Juwel Lido 120 (120L). It was decorated with lots of plants and wood and populated with South-American fish, including some Corydoras. This aquarium is no longer running. All the fish moved to the L-shaped aquarium. It is my quarantine/back-up tank now.

3 years ago, after we moved, we decided to bye another one and not long after that a third.

The second and biggest one (360L) is a custom-made L-shaped tank. It is decorated in South-America stile and populated with fish from the region, including different species of Corydoras and 2 Farlowella Acus.

The last tank we bought, a 200L Ferplast Dubai 100, is specially decorated for our breeding group of L199. Lots of caves and wood.
They spawned twice, once last year and recently I discovered that they spawned again, probably at the beginning of this year. Somehow they have managed to hide the actual breeding from me. I keep a close eye on them and all of the sudden there are some youngsters hiding underneath the background of the tank. They always surprise me.

All of the info about my aquaria and my fish is on my profile.

I really love this site, it helped me a lot when I was trying to decide what L-number to get, especially the Cat-eLog part!

Thanks guys!

The only picture I could find is this one. It is 2 years old, not very recent but you will get the idea.
