This is not a bug, data issue, or suggestion/feature request/enhancement idea; it's merely a question... Although depending on the answer to the question, then maybe it is a suggestion/feature request/enhancement idea. .
I was recently updating some of my "My Fish" pages and I paused to ponder the "Availability" feature at the bottom of the My Fish page. I have never seen this data presented anywhere on the site (maybe I've just missed it). I also discovered that if I select any of the "for sale" options to set my "Availability," I don't see that information posted when I view my My Fish page for that species; I presume that if I can't see it, then others can't either.
So my question is: What happens to the data when someone lists a species "for sale" on their My Fish page?
- Does the data get reported anywhere?
- Is it catalogued by taxon or continent?
- Is it visible to other members?

This sounds a little like what the Availability feature could be used for. Did anything else ever get posted on this? Did the idea ever get developed? I suppose if not, then this would be the enhancement idea - Can members' Availability data be organized into what would essentially be a For Sale list? Perhaps it can be integrated into the For Sale Forums, maybe hyperlinked through a sticky post at the top of each regional For Sale forum, then organized by family. Is that a good idea?Jools wrote:Well, it's a bit off-topic, but it'll be done by organisation, which are often country or region specific. More elsewhere soon.
Thank you. Cheers, Eric
