Debate over this fish
Debate over this fish
A bit of debate over this fish. Someone thinks Ancistrus, others are leaning towards a Baryancistrus or Peckolita. Any help is appreciated!

Re: Debate over this fish
Hi,
although the pictures are not really sharp and not perfect for ID'ing I think we can exclude Baryancistrus spp.
A lateral view should reveal that the last ray of dorsal fin does not have a membrane to the body (which Baryancistrus do have).
If you have a closer on the interopercular odontodes it looks very much like an Ancistrus.
Peckoltia spp. have different teeth in this genus they form a V shape, but again the teeth looks pretty much as within the genus Ancistrus.
Cheers,

Re: Debate over this fish
For me this is Ancistrus sp. L309, no doubt. Lovely fish!
