L134?

Post by VisualDarkness »

Hello,
I've been reading on the forums for quite some time but now I need some help to check if the identification is correct. I went into a a shop that had a 30% sale and saw this wonderful but very expensive Pleco named "Yellow Prince Tiger". I had to buy it when I after I got it for half the price.

Sadly I forgot the L-number that was written on the note. I searched the wholesalers list and found "L-134 Yellow Prince Tiger Peckoltia sp. Wild-caught". So if it's correctly identified it should be a L134 and made quite a good deal then.

It's a bit pale as it was just introduced to the aquarium but it displays a nice yellow.

Thanks for helping me out!

Really good news!
I got it for just over 20euro instead of the regular price at 40euro. The wholesaler ha it listed at 60euro. It looks in really good shape and is fast as a rocket when you try to catch it.

Would you rate it juvenile or mature? Just for the sake of sexing and trying to find a partner for it.

I'd buy as many as possible if they're that cheap!

Looks immature to me, but others with a bit more experience with these might be able to help further.

I would have bought all they had, if they had any more. Sadly they only hold one of these more expensive ones at a time as they rarely sell them to a costumer. Also the sale was only today and yesterday and only on the current stock, so no luck in ordering from them. But I think I know where to get them for under 40euro at least. ;)

Thanks to the forum for the quick response. I knew you guys were awesome but this was incredible!

Nice fish and a good price :d

Definitely P.Compta and IMO looks like an immature male. You can just see the "hair" starting to show on the body and the start of Odontode growth on the cheek and the end of the pectoral fin.

Just a thought....

Sverige is Swedish for Sweden.

@VisualDarkness: May be a good idea to use English, as there are quite a lot of people who don't read Swedish on the forum... ;)

Thanks guys!
It usually hides hanging vertically between two big moss-covered roots, today I didn't see it at all during the time I was at home though. I haven't seen him/her eating yet but I'm not worried yet. :)

The only problem is how to afford a partner or a group?
