it's definitely not an L-183. I don't even think it's an ancistrus. Your photo is not focused, so I cannot tell, but does it have a bristlenose?
I'm thinking it's just a common pleco.

Definitely not. Does appear to be a Ancistrus sp. still, probably a female. Not a "Common" pleco.

Agreed, with some minor adjustments:
- Not A. dolichopterus
- definitely Ancistrus
- definitely female (at a length of 15 cms)
- and - indeed - no common
The markings on the head look pretty nice btw.

I agree that it's an Ancistrus. I suspect it's
. If you can get a clear picture when the fish is settled in the tank, that would help.

The eyes on common bristlenose can look a bit blue at certain angles. I still think that is what it is.

homeownage* yes it has peppermint blue eyes but it has no brestles on his snaut, and he has strange marks on its ski. ive never seen this kind of mark on a ancistrus.

It has stress markings, and it looks just like my adult female [depending on mood, sometimes it shows stress markings, at other times not].

ow ok
but it still has no spots on the body and almost all ancistrus have little sports on the body.
