Sexing L-027 Royal Plecos

Sexing L-027 Royal Plecos

I can't seem to find any information on how to sex these fish. Does anyone know how to do this?

I believe the only way is to have a really close look at the genital papilla.Usually the males is pointed (V shape) and female rounded (U shape).

Maybe somebody knows different?
Beneath the murky depths...............Ahh!the sponge..now if only i could find the soap.

Hi!

First your fish need to have a good size ~25cm at least!

Males pocess very long interopercular odontodes going at least to the middle of the body and very thick and long odontodes on the pectoral fins...

Is this true for L27 and other panaques ie.L190,330 etc?
I didn't know that.
